YOU ARE A CHILD OF THE UNIVERSE, NO LESS THAN THE TREES AND THE STARS, YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO BE HERE. AND WHETHER OR NOT IT IS CLEAR TO YOU, NO DOUBT THE UNIVERSE IS UNFOLDING AS IT SHOULD. THEREFORE BE AT PEACE WITH GOD WHATEVER YOU CONCIEVE HIM TO BE. AND WHATEVER YOUR LABOURS AND ASPIRATIONS, IN THE NOISY CONFUSION OF LIFE KEEP PEACE WITH YOUR SOUL. WITH ALL ITS SHAM, DRUDGERY AND BROKEN DREAMS, IT IS STILL A BEAUTIFUL WORLD.

BE CHEERFUL.

STRIVE TO BE HAPPY .

It never turned green just went from red to red

I'm very tired emotionally drained and wishing I would stop saying yes to random jobs. However the random job I've just done was great though a little intense. Involved up tp 10 hour days for 13 days in a row but I'm really glad I did it. Big film being made here and they needed people to make 2 carriages look medieval and evactly the double of each other. The art director, Stuart Rose, is one of the loveliest people I've ever worked for and a true veteran of the film world - Alien, Company of Wolves, Alexander (I know the film was a tad shit but that wasn't his fault), to name only 3. He even has a neighbour who used to work on the Hammer Horror films. Wish I could have stayed on to do more and indeed was offered more work but I am committed to 3 other things over the next 3 weeks I don't like letting people down. Hayho! Unfortunately I can't show any photos of the carriages til films out it wouldn't be fair.

Right now

Crikey never thought I'd get back here again. Shaun has inspired me to give it another go - and I'll remember my password this time you wait and see. I went to go to bed over an hour ago, Pete's on nights this week and when he's on nights I dont seem to get to bed at a reasonable time. However, I'm working from home over the next 2 days so I suppose I dont have to get up to be anywhere except the room next door. Happydays.

The Twelfth is looming - sorry Orangefest is approaching and a couple of the neighbours have their ridiculously large and abundant union jack flags up. We got a flyer through the door about a bonfire on friday night for the residents only and donations welcome for Marie Curie. It said there'll be a fancy dress competition for the kids, face painting and a penalty shoot out, as well as a BBQ. We are as usual sceptical about it, is it a loyalist 11th night piss up disguised as a charity family fun night? But then we do live in Northern Ireland and in a prodomenantly unionist area, it's part of this places culture. Maybe we'll get to know some of the other people living around here, but then do I want to know the ones with the big oversized flags. I'm thinking give it a chance, but then again..........
The photo is actually from a bonfire off the Ormeau Road in Belfast last year - had to take a picture of it as it was the neatest, most organised one I had ever seen. The one down the road from us wont be that big(hopefully) and wont include the burning of Tricolours (again hopefully).
